Baker Consultation and Contract - January 15

We met with Bobbie, our baker, today for a tasting and to discuss what the cake will look like.  We tried chocolate pound cake, strawberry pound cake, vanilla pound cake and a rum and lemon pound cake.  We also tried her Bavarian cream and her strawberry filling.  Finally, we chose to go with a three tiered square cake with the following flavors (from bottom to top): chocolate pound cake with Bavarian cream filling, rum and lemon pound cake with a chocolate Bavarian cream filling and sweet strawberry cake with Bavarian cream filling,  We will have cream cheese butter cream icing, a fondant red ribbon around the bottom of each tier, real daisies on opposing corners of each tier and monograms letters as our cake topper. It will also be raised up by vases filled with water and flower petals to match the centerpieces.
