Wedding Shower - April 7

We had our wedding shower in Pittsboro, NC today.  Bonnie, Madison, and Megan drove up together to Becky and Donald's (Madison's aunt and uncle), who hosted and planned the party.  We had a lovely lunch previous to the start of the party and ate refreshments during the party.  For dessert, we had delicious cupcakes with M&Ms (for Madison and Megan) on them.  We received some gifts from registry and some thoughtful gifts - such as food storage containers, a Kohl's gift card, and a pig whisk - that were not on our registry.  We also enjoyed socializing with family and observing the movement around us, like kids playing hide-and-seek, and Bonnie being pinned for alterations to the dress she'll be wearing to the wedding.  After the party had ended, Madison put on "Blessed," by Elton John (the song we will be using for the mother/groom dance) and Bonnie and Madison practicing dancing.

 Bottom right: Madison is wearing a purple ribbon to look like Donatello - the ninja turtle - and Megan is wearing a ribbon of tulle attached to her hair with a barrette to look like a veil.
